I’m very curious about the faux outrage of the half-second. Is the proposition that information should be rejected because it comes from a foreign power? This reminds me of the theatrics when one country ‘learns’ that its allies spy on it.

Every country collects information on friends and foes. It’s usually considered to be acting responsibly. But if the new way of running a country is to reject foreign intel because it’s foreign, I guess Congress had better repeal the national security act of 1947 (as amended),
As far as the complaint about the President saying he maybe would inform the FBI of such information if he thought something was amiss, what’s the problem? The national intelligence program is designed to collect information and then to give it to the President.
And, indeed, the relevant law explicitly mandates that these various agencies act pursuant to the control, authority and direction of the President to obtain information to give to the President so that he can use it to make such decisions as he thinks appropriate.
The notion that a President who receives information has some kind of obligation to phone up his subordinates to tell them what it is so that they in the very next sentence inform the President of what the President just told them is quite inefficient. And idiotic.
Welcome to America. We have a Constitution which vests executive power in exactly one person at a time. The chief executive does not report to department heads, officers or employees of the United States; they all answer to him.

Impeach 45! Trump must be Impeached!
The Democrats should impeach Trump.
The IC had the goods on Trump and he should have been impeached before he was President for 6 months. It is terrible. Mueller has the evidence show Trump colluded with Russia, is a traitor and Putin’s puppet. But it can not be released as it would undermine the American’s faith in Obama, the Rule of Law and US Government Law Enforcement institutions.
I hope Trump does not panic and release all the Obama administration documents on Fast and Furious, IRS targeting of Tea Party groups and use of FISA to spy on his campaign that Trump used to blackmail Mueller and the DOJ into not filing charges. It will be Mutual Assured Destruction. Mueller will release the TRUE Mueller report and Steele Dossier which have even more evidence that was gathered using illegal means to impeach Trump.
During the impeachment,the Republicans should hold a vigil at the Lincoln memorial like the Democrats did at the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial during Clinton Impeachment.

That view drains the Fourteenth Amendment of one of its core teachings. Contrary to today’s decision, protecting the right to meaningful participation in the political process must mean more than simply removing barriers to participation.It must mean vigilantly policing the political process to ensure that the majority does not use other methods to prevent minority groups from partaking in that process on equal footing.Relatedly, Justice Scalia argues that the political-process doctrine is inconsistent with our precedents because it protects only the minority from political restructurings. This aspect of the doctrine, he says, cannot be tolerated because our precedents have rejected “mentions ...the political-process doctrine has not been applied to trigger strict scrutiny for political restructurings that burden the majority. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg focused on the 14th Amendment's aim at protecting against "political powerlessness," but the final say is likely in Justice Anthony Kennedy's hands.
